Hi everyone, I am a lifetime member here.

About me: I sit at a desk for 13-16 hours a day. My only exercise is walking to and from my car as I drive between places to sit. It wasn't always this way. I was up to working out 3 hours a day 6 days a week but my appetite was out of control. I am now on three medications that restrict my hunger and binge eating. Two prescription and one over the counter.

I struggled to quit drinking and smoking cigarettes to get healthy and now I am here to tackle my weight problem. I know it can happen because I once stood next to a very thin man who was a truck driver who wasn't fat because he didn't eat that much! He is my secret role model or the person I think of when I feel like giving up.

My picture on here was taken when I finally made it out of the obese range and into the top of the heavy overweight range. I keep it up as a reminder that I was once on track and I can be on track again after my latest 6 month hiatus.

My only goal this time is to eat under 1299 calories daily and to get back out of the obese range again. I refuse to eat crappy food because I am supposed to because it is supposedly good for me. YUK! I will only eat food I like and I find delicious. Even if it is high calorie high sugar content. My philosophy is: I can eat whatever I want... I just can't eat all of it (at one time)

How long for sugar to leave the body
*Jaw-Drops* I admit - I am cholesterol dumb. My provider has me taking Cholesterol lowering drugs because my labs said mine are off the charts bad. BUT my numbers have improved, I thought because of my new healthy lifestyle changes, but my provider told me it was because of the medication.... Grrrrr... I don't know who to believe or trust. So I must research the heck out of this and come to my own conclusions. I appreciate the links. They are a great start. I feel sorry for above mentioned ducks. I am assuming NOT to order the "Foie Gras" ???
