Hi my name is Kathy. I am 44 years old and I started the Atkins lifestyle December 2, 2013 weighing in at 235lbs. YUCK! In 2006 I went from 256.6lbs to 166lbs doing Atkins and weight watchers then I got comfortable and lazy and DIVORCED!! I can't say I didn't see the weight coming back pound after pound because I did...I just had so much other stuff going on that I didn't care! I just kept justifying every pound. Since July everything has changed for me. I have a form of muscular dystrophy called myasthenia gravis. As if that isn't enough I was diagnosed with mild COPD and severe sleep apnea. There is absolutely nothing worse than not being able to breathe. I quit smoking August 18th and now it's time to tackle the weight situation. I figure no matter how hard it will be to adjust to not having carbs it can't be any worse than not being able to breathe!!
