****Edit and update 2020:
I’m 10 years older than when I first wrote my bio below. My weight started going up again in 2016 through late 2018 and I weighed about 186 by that time. I discovered I was dairy intolerant and that gluten didn’t make me feel the best. I deleted those from my diet and slowly over the last year I gravitated toward a Whole Foods Plant Based Diet. I stopped eating meats and fish and substituted whole grains and beans. I always loved vegetables so upping my intake of those was no problem. Fruit is also in my diet. I stopped using all oils in November 2019 and my weight loss increased. I still eat nuts, seeds and avocados so I’m getting healthy fats from those. I don’t count calories but try to vary the foods I eat day to day. I weighed 137.8 this morning so I only have 2 pounds left to lose to get back to where I was. I’d still like to get close to 130 but anywhere below 135 will make me happy.

2010: (I’m 53, and I grew up on a farm where processed food was really something that was an unusual item on the menu. I look back now and realize how hard we worked not only in the garden but doing other things around the place. My favorite foods at the time were vegetables which probably was why I barely got above 110 lbs by high school graduation. In the last 10yrs I've been up to 176 or so twice. I managed to lose 53 lbs (in 1yr & 4months) about 7yrs ago. I lost all the way down to 122. I kept journals of everything I ate as well as an attached diary. I finally found them again (we had moved) and seriously can't see how I managed to lose as much with what was listed. I hadn't listed any calories etc, just the food. I was much more active at the time so I'm sure that helped. I'm not as active now but have got to begin again. Some medical issues- plantar fasciitis,(somewhat controlled), hypothyroidism, a need to get some of my blood chemistries corrected (which happened last time when I lost the weight.
Wish me luck!))

Anyone here get heartburn regularly?
I know pain medication triggered problems for me. It was a prescription for pain from a frozen shoulder and even after stopping it took a long time and prescription meds to get back to normal. Hopefully yours is just stress related. Good luck controlling it!

having lost 10lbs, I see none of it was from my waist?
I've lost a lot since the end of December and it seemed to disappear from my back first. I had been basically stuck at or around 150 for the last 2 years. I wouldn't let it go higher but for the life of me it wouldn't go down. It's slowly coming off in other spots besides my back so hang in there!

Know your privacy!!!
I remember reading something about this in some of the older forum posts. If you search about privacy it would probably come up. I just can't remember how long ago it was.
