performance: losing 1.3 lb a week
I'm a middle-aged "fat" mother of 6 grown children with 9 grandchildren & I'm sick of being the fat grandma. I have tried just about every diet program available to the public with bouts of diet pills a few years ago under the doc's supervision. I did manage to lose some weight several years ago thru a weight center that closed their doors just when I started doing so well! The last time I was anywhere near what I would call a 'normal' weight was when I had my last baby..& he's just turned 33 (for crying out loud)..how long can I call this stuff around my waist "baby fat"? I decided to give Atkins another try after thoroughly reading through his book. The last time I just skimmed through it & gave it a short trial while preparing the meals for my son & husband. I couldn't imagine not having any vegetables or fruit for days, months or longer. The lack of bread & sweets didn't bother me nearly as much. I have been absolutely strict on the plan this time & even though I'm not getting the textbook results, I'm not willing to give it up yet. I really do feel pretty good, just with the weight would go a little bit faster.
