I am a 13 year old getting ready to turn 14 on July 7th. I am attempting to turn all my fat into muscle, but on July 12th I'm going in for surgery, so I'll be on crutches for one month.

Tracking my progress.
I Messed up my starting weight. It was ACCURATELY 193 pounds EXACTLY. It is day 6. I should get a scale for weighing in soon (the old spring scale my parents have is WAY off). My parents make the best burgers, yet they're healthy enough to keep me on track. I can't wait to get my Gym membership in August. Might be able to start exercising before school is back in session Smile

Introduce myself
Muscle Building is the healthiest way to gain weight. Those who are fat may LOSE weight, but if you are SKINNY, Muscle building ADDS weight on. The SECOND situation is apparently your situation, so I'd say pick up the weights & start lifting! Try to be light on it at first, & add variation into your lifting (Meaning don't do the same kinds of lifts!)& do slightly more vigorous weight training as you get better.

Going into surgery!
Crying or Very sad HELP ME! On July 12, 2013 I'm going into LEG surgery, & two things I've learned from leg surgery: you can't walk & you gain MAJOR pounds. Thankfully the one month or less wait will be worth it, since I'll finally have access to the Gym. Also my goal has changed; to convert my fat & flab into muscle. I know it's probably early to ask, but what MUSCLE BUILDING exercises are great for burning fat? They can involve Equipment since after I recover my Mom & I will sign up for Planet Fitness. Also note that my Birthday is July 7th & I'll turn 14.
