Hi! I guess I'd describe myself as an inconsistently active person. A long-time runner, I mostly love to run trails in central Pennsylvania. I have a history that involves cycling, mountain biking and even a few years of triathlons. Lately, however, I haven't been exercising consistently and have been eating like crap, so the pounds slowly found their way to my middle... and stuck.
Recently, my wife decided to get on board with a program called DietBet because of Chris Powell's encouragement, so I signed up for this site, both to support her and to hold myself accountable. The DietBet goal is to lose 4% of your body weight in 4 weeks, so that's where I set my first goal. After that, I am just hoping to build on my initial efforts and continue to eat better while exercising more.
I have some lofty goals for this year, including a 26 mile trail race in October that's considered one of the toughest in Pennsylvania. I already paid the registration fee, so I'm committed (or should be). So, I'd better get off my butt and get out there running.
