In late 2012 I weighed 250 lbs. I decided to make simple, better food choices and easily lost 25 lbs. mostly by cutting back a bit on carbs and selecting healthier things that I liked to eat. My weight stayed pretty steadily between 220 and 225.
I finally decided I really wanted to take off all of my excess weight before I reached my 50th birthday, but I knew enough about myself that I needed to find a structured plan that "put me on rails" until I hit my target weight of 185 lbs. I chose IdealProtein.com at the beginning of May 2014. Tomorrow (August 21, 2014) is my last day on the plan and I weigh 178 lbs. Mission accomplished with a month and a half to spare.
My new goal is to keep the weight off, so that's why I'm here.
