I signed up here at Fat Secret some time ago (2010), and I have popped in from time to time over the years. I guess now is as good as time as any to take advantage of the resources!
Full time student finishing my MBA in General Business.
Full time freelance writer, which I love more than any job I have ever had. I have two books published, one about to be, and a few more in the works. I currently have 23 books published under a pen name.
I suffer from some mental health problems due to past sexual abuse that lasted 12 years. I have major recurring depression. PTSD, Panic Attacks, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, and have dealt with an eating disorder(s). I know when I am healthy and working out, I am less likely to suffer from these problems.
My back is a mess. I have Degenerative Disc Diseas and my L4 and L5 are "broken" for lack of a better word. Because of this my L6 is following suit, causing my right side, my leg is shorter, my hip is up higher and I have sciatica in that leg. My right shoulder has dropped 3 inches causing me a lot of trouble and pain.
My chiro has told me the weight has to come off! I have (osteoarthritis) degenerative arthritis in my hips, worse on my right. My right side is shorter so I am supposed to wear a shoe lift inside my shoe to help make me more comfortable. I have a special desk chair since I work from home and have to sit pretty much all day. (I am sick of the pain!)
Migraines are also an evil part of my life.
I am 37 and I want to be in the best shape I have ever been by the time I reach 40.
I have PCOS and someday would like to be strong enough to adopt a child.
All of these reasons, I need to be in a healthy body and state of mind.
And, I will.
