I'm new to this site.... please help me answer one question
I'm trying to understand the exercise entries. It looks like I need to change the resting time with (sitting, standing, lawn work, shopping and driving) When I changed the resting to those, it changed my calories burned by like 500. Can this be acturate or does everyone else just put in working out time and leave the resting alone? Thanks! Doug

Cholesterol Diets
I'll touch on this subject since I'm married to the gym and I guess now to my diet since I'm in the same boat as you. My HDL's are low (Good Cholesterol) and LDL's are high (bad Cholesterol). My total was 224.... which is way too high for me. The saturated fat is the concern. You should have less than 10% from saturated fat in a good diet. If you have cholesterol issues.... then keep it under 5% for the saturated. Take saturated grams of fat times 9 and then divide by total calorie intake for the day to get the percentage. By staying away from saturated fat and fried foods you can lower your LDL's. Problem number 1 solved. Problem 2 is the low HDL's. Try to include baked or grilled cod, tune, salomon or trout..... add almonds or walnuts..... add oats, avacodo and plenty of fiber to your diet. That means drink plenty of water too.... that will allow HDL's to increase. I hope this helps!
