I use S-Health as my tracker. They (fatsecret) are working to integrate the data and when they do, my progress, exercise and diet will be visible for others. I don't particularly need a forum for support. I have made the decision to be healthy and that is all it takes. I am mainly here because the S-Health app uses the FatSecret database for its food entries and I sometimes need to add items to the database.

I use the Gear S watch to track my exercise, I also started lifting recently. Since I started my diet and exercise routine I have lost approximately 40 lbs (from a high of 188) by focusing primarily on creating a caloric defecit.

I follow this blog strictly (aworkoutroutine.com) because I was doing exactly what it recommends before even knowing about it, but when I found it (searching for information on determining muscle gain vs fat loss) I realized why what I was doing was working. It's all about calorie control. Everything else is either a gimmick or works because it inadvertently creates a caloric deficit. Don't be fooled into failure!

I will frequently correct people when they post false information or express myths that have been proven wrong. I am not trying to be a pain in the butt, I am just passionate as I have had success following facts, and if others would follow the facts, they too will realize the success they desire.

Calories IN versus Calories Out
I can't find any acreditation for Luke Tunyich. Blaming obesity on posture seems pretty far fetched.

"It is wrongly believed that poor posture is caused by obesity. In reality obesity is caused by poor posture (standing, walking and sitting posture) and poor walking and running gait. "

Calories IN versus Calories Out
I am inclined to think those calories are made up of the waste from our other biological processes more so than from the original food ingested. Was there any mention of that?

Calories IN versus Calories Out
@diablo360x As far as the calories burned in digestion, those are coming from your body (from previous meals) and not from the meal being currently digested. Would you say that is correct?

Calories IN versus Calories Out
This question can be answered by knowing what a calorie is. It is a unit of energy. It is not something that is effected by the content of the food. There may be a difference in how your body processes fat vs carbs vs protien which may affect the caloric adsorbtion. But I am willing to bet it is negligable. Good question/observation on the stool though.

I think a bigger concern would be if you were adsorbing more calories (which is impossible, obviously). But not adsorbing a certain amount of calories will only get you to your goal faster.
