performance: losing 1.2 lb a week
Full-time job, husband and two teenagers. Have been heavy ever since puberty. At one golden point around age 40, got down to a fit size 6, lasted a couple of years, but stress and overwork eventually got the better of me. During that great period, I was finally able to not obsess about food. Treating food like a normal person and getting myself healthy are the real goals I need to focus on, not just cosmetic weight loss.
Goal 1: Feel like I'm getting somewhere and not obsessing about food or how bad I think I look. Met!
Goal 2: Successfully run a 5K. Hopefully, Thanksgiving morning 2011. Met!
Goal 3: Get well into the 150s. Never go back again! Hopefully, by Christmas 2011. Met, but I'll only feel safe when I get to 153 or below. Not there yet...
Goal 4: Fit back comfortably into all my size 8 clothing. Hopefully, by Feb. 1, 2012. Moving this goal to April 1, 2012, because I feel that's more doable. March 1: I think I'm going to make this goal more open-ended, to make myself less crazy and more accepting of my current self.
Goal 5: Once I hit where I want to be, to work diligently to develop a lifelong eating plan that will work!
