I stepped on the scale this morning and expected to be around 123 again so this was a pleasant surprise. I'm still feeling my ab workout from Monday (4 days later!!!) so that means either a) it was a real good workout or b) I need to work out my abs more often -- probably more of both.
Less than half a pound away from my mini goal! I need to put my head down and get dedicated -- if I really was to work towards my goal I could be there by now, I just haven't had the motivation to do so.
Classes and school have made it harder for me to get to the rock climbing gym and the weather has definitely turned towards winter so hiking and camping are a lot harder to do (also a lot harder to find people as insane as me to want to do so below freezing...) so now I have to find other ways to burn off what I take in.

I haven't been logging my food which is what really makes me pay attention to what I eat, gotta get back on that.
Last Saturday I did a 17.4 mile hike across 13 peaks -- it was so amazing that I'm doing it again this weekend, except taking it a step further. Only 16 miles, but 6 high peaks in the Adirondacks, in weather that has a high of 32°F//0°C (The feels-like temperature isn't supposed to get over 28°F//-2.5°C). I have this weird juxtaposition because while I'm hiking I'm nonstop eating -- especially in the winter, simply to keep up energy to burn to keep myself warm and to keep myself going for the entire time, but during the week I'm eating a lot less. My question is when is it best to start eating more during the week? I know I'm supposed to eat big before going so that I have energy to burn at the start but I'm never sure where to start, and I hate starting out feeling like I'm heavier than normal. Maybe that's just personal balance I have to find.
I've also taken up rock climbing and bouldering, which is one of the best workouts I've gotten in a long time. Side note: while I love gym workouts, I love getting my workouts through other activities so much more. I'd so much rather be climbing a mountain or on the court than in the gym. Anywho, I have high hopes for what this change in approach looks like for me. With the cold weather setting in, I'm interested to see how much my habits change.

This drop is surpyringing to me considering I've been eating poorly lately. I've been for the most part eating healthy meals, but I'm constantly snacking; I feel like I always need to be eating, even though I'm not hungry. Also, I've been really craving zucchini and squash but can't find either anywhere!!
