Well I've lost five pounds partly because of my new eating habits and partly because of a nasty stomach virus. It's not the most ideal way to loose weigh but hay, I'm getting there! I have been cheating very little just because cheating is expensive and I'm a college student with very little money! I have been getting veggies at the farmers market and have been eating lots of salads, putting different things in them depending on what I might want or need.

So I blacked out last night after a long walk. I need to keep my blood sugar up and stay hydrated! Today I woke up, took my multivitamin, and made a smoothie. I then had spinach and feta scrambled eggs and two pieces of seeded rye toast with smart balance. I have already drank one thermos of water today but I don't expect it will be my last. Tonight I'm going out with my friends so I've decided to keep it light for today so that I can cheat and still be within my caloric allowance. I've already had about 400 calories today so I could have 1300 calories and still be fine. I don't think I'm gonna cheat that much though!

So today I had a chobani and naked juice smoothie with spinach and feta scrambled eggs. For lunch I had about a dozen half sticks of celery with peanut butter and some baby carrots. I drank two thermoses of water which is about 6 cups. I also tried something new which, note to self, came out awesome! I made oatmeal like I normally do only I added a mashed sweet potato, cinnamon, and walnuts. So good, I need to make that again!

For the past week I have been staying by a 1700 calorie a day limit. I have been mostly eating a diet of raw veggies in a number of small meals throughout the day. If I want to cheat, I have been doing it but in small portions and within my calorie limit. I have also been drinking smoothies every day made of either a banana and other mixed fruits with a chobani yogurt and two pieces of whole grain toast with smart balance, or a chobani and naked juice smoothie and two pieces of whole grain toast with smart balance. I take a multi vitamin daily to make sure I am not vitamin deficient (which can lead to slowed metabolism and weight gain). I try to eat my food raw when I can, but I'll also occasionally have a small piece of chicken or something low cal that I can make like chicken soup. Also, lots of omelets and scrambled eggs. They are really yummy with spinach, bok choy, and a little crumbled feta mixed in!
