I love to eat delicious foods, especially pastas and Mexican dishes. In the process, I became morbidly obese (my doctor told me that horrible word and I thank him for it). During the 2011 holidays, I made a commitment to lose a lot of weight after seeing a family picture that showed big, fat ME. I had never seen myself so fat. To see myself so large was very depressing. Til this day, I remember that picture and I never wanna be there again. In 2012, I lost 59 lbs. In 2013, I continued to lose weight until I met my new love. Since being with him, I have gained 18 lbs in just 9 short months. I'm not blaming him. My choice to eat so many sweets and carbs is what has led to my weight gain. I'm hoping this site can help me stay motivated. Wish me luck :)

is there any tip to enjoy jogging?
I've never been a runner myself, but I learned a few tricks and I actually wish I had been a runner in life.
First, I listen to music that gets me going. I listen to the words and apply them to me (ex: Michael Jackson's "Pretty Young Thing"Wink. I concentrate on every word in the song (not how hard it's getting to breathe or how hard my feet land or how much more time before I can stop) and smile because I KNOW I'm getting somewhere. However, I do pay attention if there is actual pain (recently had knee surgery, don't want to go thru that again).
If I go to the gym and I don't have my music, I'll focus on the tv and listen to every word said (even commercials). Again, my goal is to jog without realizing I did. After doing this for a few weeks, I was able to jog like a normal, light person, not big momma stomping and creating an earthquake (sorry if this sounds harsh, but I don't sugarcoat things when it comes to my obesity).
Also, cutting off sugars will give you immense energy you didn't know you had. It's easier said than done, I know.
I also found that exercising first thing in the morning before anything boosted my energy for the rest of the day.
Always carry a bottle of water with you. I found it gives me more energy and I last a lot longer doing any exercise.
Hope this helps Smile
