A candid discussion of Obesity and Exercise
I participate in a women's cycling forum very regularly. Over the years I've found the input on this forum to be highly intelligent and useful.

This particular thread is a candid discussion from some of the members about food addiction, obesity and cycling. I found it incredibly insightful and I thought that others here would as well.

As others have said, fiber doesn't help much if you don't have a lot of water too. In fact a high fiber diet without enough water can make constipation worse.

Secondly, moving your body is really important for getting your bowels moving. I checked out your diet calendar and noticed that you haven't logged anything for a few weeks, so there's no indication of how active you have been. The first thing you do with constipated people in the hospital is get them up walking. If you're sitting too much suring the day, your bowels get kinked up so to speak and the motility is not there to get things moving. So at the very least you need to be getting up and moving about. Yoga can help, especially twists.

random muscles cramping
Along with the potassium and sodium issues mentioned above, Calcium is also very important for normal muscle contraction and relaxation. Orange juice with calcium added is a good option.

Also, Nuun makes a tablet that can be dropped in water and will help maintain a better electrolyte profile without the sugar in drinks like Gatorade.
