I am a 51 year old looking to lose 40+ pounds. I know this will be hard but I am determined to make it work.
I have a parent with Alzheimer's and after taking time off from full time employment to help my mother with this steady onset, I have gained more weight than I can allow. Tough time getting back into the workforce-it is hard to get re-employed after not working for 1 1/2 years when so many are looking for work.
I am attempting to be more active now-walking the dog and getting in some sort of exercise go videos. Not ready to go back to the gym-yet.
I am going to try to stick to 1600 calories a day-with low carbs. I
My husband is a real meat and potatoes guy so no real carb support will come from this direction.
I have two girls college age-supportive but the brownies still get made! They are use to me being a Betty Crocker type. I watch a good deal of Food Network shows-maybe I should stop this? They don't focus on counting calories that's for sure.
Love to kayak, hike, bike-but aside from the walking-it's been a snow-filled winter here in the NorthEast.
Love to have support. Will miss the carbs and wine!
