Doing OK. I am following a low-calorie diet. I have been busy lately. I will be self-publishing my first book, "Beyond the Wilderness" in the next few months. It is in the process now. It is historical fiction. The weather is cold, so I am not out exercising. In the spring when it is not allergy season I hope to get out and start walking around much, much more than I am doing now. I hope to start swimming soon again too at the gym. Maybe tonight. I am losing as I have cut my calories back dramatically - and late night snacking has stopped. I go to bed a bit hungry maybe, but I sleep better, I do not oversleep very often, and I feel better when I get up too. I have stopped snacking between meals with large amounts of junk food too.

I am doing more low calorie than Atkins, however I am not eating dairy and I am not eating much sugar at all, so in a way I am limiting carbs by dramatically cutting back sugar too. It is working and also I am not eating too many snacks and I am not eating seconds usually at mealtime and I am not eating anything after 7 p.m. or so most nights. It is working. I was 252 or so around December first.

Weight staying off - slow and steady wins with weight loss. A pound or two a week average and one gets to their goals in time. I am eating very, very light. Around 1,200 calories a day. I eat 800 calories, but another 400 calories from hidden things like lots of low calorie drinks that have 10 calories per eight ounces, and margarine, etc. (they add up fast). I take vitamins too, one has to if they're dieting.

Doing OK. Weather is mild for the time of year. Dieting is going well. Slow and steady wins the race. I know by summer I will be below 210, and that is my goal - so it is not like I can't reach it - it is only a little more than twenty pounds away and not like it is 100 or something. But one can also do those ten-pound increments by two-month goals too, which are reasonable... and then one can't be disappointed as easily. Food portions just have to be cut dramatically, and calories too. Exercise helps if one can do it also.

Weather is cold. Appointment today. Deceased friend's brother should be over this evening to help with printer. Dieting going well. On Sundays I will be doing a midnight to midnight fast - of just broth and clear liquids, etc. to cleanse my system - good doses of vitamins too, it is good as a detox too, and helps one lose weight - I did it weekly or every other week the last time I lost weight fairly easily and it helped - as it gets one to eat less when one goes back to regular eating too.
