Had a little rain in the night, which is good. Good that it wasn't another deluge, but enough to water everything, including the vegetable garden.
I mowed for about 3 hrs yesterday, which was good. But it appears that I twisted my right knee, which is not so good. It started feeling sore last evening, and is more sore this morning. No swelling, but not a good idea to jog on it. Maybe tomorrow? I hope so. Seems everytime I start a new regimen, something tries to stop me. It just teaches me to have determination. Winston Churchill once said, "Never give up. Never give up. Never give up." That's a good mantra for me these days. I've made a good dent in the weight loss, but have much of the journey still before me. Consistency, good choices one meal, one day at a time, and determination will get me to my goal. I see some friends on here who have lost 60, 80 lbs or more. I want to be one too!!
I'm proud of them, and I'm proud of me. And I'm proud of every one here who keeps doing this every single day, and if they mess up on one meal or one day or one weekend, they get back up and start doing the right thing again. There is power in our support of one another. As we give encouragement to someone else, we also encourage our own spirits. It's a wonderful, almost magical thing...

I am sooo tired. I left home at 7:15 AM to drive to Indy and visit an endodentist(?) over an old root canal that seemed to have become abcessed. I figured I'd go early and find the Whole Foods and Trader Joe's that I never get to shop at since it's about 2 hrs from home. I had a protein fruit smoothie for breakfast, and watermelon chunks plus a very few veggie chips for lunch. Water, of course, throughout the driving and shopping. Then I ended up in the dentist's chair for 3 1/2 hours. No kidding! Full new root canal. Soooo, what is a girl who can't feel the right side of her face, and has eaten so lightly all day long do for supper??? Well a chocolate milk shake and a few soft french fries, of course! UGH. I actually threw away 1/3 of the fries, and didn't finish the shake. Stopped and got more water instead, and then drove 2 hours home. I had been on the go 12 1/2 hours, and 4 hours of that on interstates! I am exhausted!!!

Had a one hour conversation with my grown up single son last night, and it turned out that he is using the same whey protein powder that I am, and eating very similar to me!! But he is body building, while I am trying to body diminish!! Go figure. Life sure can be amusing!

I got some things I've been longing to try after reading on this site--Kefir, brown rice syrup, greek style fat free yogurt. I also got unsalted dry roasted almonds, mixed veggie chips to use as a treat, eaten sparingly...and a tiny bag of chocolate covered espresso beans to be eaten extreeeeeeemly sparingly! LOL
