I am a 72 year old church pianist and retired teacher, and a modified hemi-pelvectomy amputee, due to bone cancer in 1974. I am wearing out my shoulders, elbows, wrists and hands, carrying around at least 30 pounds of extra weight. I was quite active (rafting, kayaking, swimming, walking) until four years ago, when, following a hip replacement failure and revision, the scar tissue attached itself to my hip. I want to stay mobile, and so am serious about losing weight.
