I am a 40 year old stay-at-home mom of two beautiful teenage girls. I have been married for 17 years to an amazing man. We recently moved back to Florida from Colorado due to husband’s health concerns. I too, have a few health concerns of my own. I have RA and was recently diagnosed with hypothyroidism, which I am trying to figure out. I have my good and bad days and really bad days. I am focusing on becoming healthier and feeling good about myself again. Hopefully the results make the really bad days fewer and farther between, also hopeful the whole family to become healthier as well. Exercise will come in time, once my doctor gives his approval. On my free time when I’m not spending it with family, I enjoy drawing, cooking, crocheting, the beach and gardening. Oh yeah, I LOVE football, baseball(softball), college basketball, hockey,and NASCAR!!

The 'IT' Food for You?
For me, I am pretty good at turning away most sweets at Christmas. However, I love banana bread, zucchini bread and homemade pecan pie! I decided only to do zucchini bread this year and only did one batch (one loaf for desserts this week and one for Christmas). But MIL does pecan pies every year. YES,the zucchini bread is yummy as ever! This week (a few days) I've needed the calories but definitely not the carbs.
