I have been gone from this site for more then a year and managed to have my weight climb back up to 211 lbs. This past September I made the decision to have weight-loss surgery. On 12/26/12, I had the Vertical Sleeve done.
My whole life has changed since that day. I have quite a bit of weight to loose yet, but I hope that this time because of the surgery, that I will finally be able to "KEEP" the weight off. As the surgeon repeatedly told me....this is ONLY a tool, I must still work to get the pounds off.
Still having trouble motivating for exercise. I put tremendous pressure on my knees and they are doing better since dropping some pounds, but I have a ways to go.

BACK ON ATKINS! I just can't seem to include carbs in my daily diet. Atkins worked the last time I stuck to (and no diet works unless you stick to it) so lets see what happens this time. Started to add some exercise too. So far only 20 min of marching. Anything is better than nothing.

Damn, damn, I blew it big time. I was so very good for lunch. My adopted grand-daughters sweet 16
b-day party at Olive Garden. I had researched the calories on their menu and chose the least amount I could find. Only had 1 bread stick (shouldn't have done it, I know) and passed up a yummy piece of cake. I really was so proud of myself only to come home and ruin the day.
Oh, well.....it is done and now I will start over again tomorrow.

OMG! Was I ever surprised and thrilled when I got on the scale this morning. I know you are not supposed to weigh yourself every day, but because I over did it yesterday (by 100cal.) I just wanted to make sure it didn't do too much damage. What a great motivator!
