Hi My name is Jan and I am 63, 5'6" and I started my Atkins diet last week at 178.8 lbs. Christmas was hard on me. Also my Dad died in October and I have been very sad. My sister and Mother have each lost weight but not me I gained 8 lbs. I have been married to my husband, Steve, for 30 years and have 2 grown sons, one just got married in December and one has been with his love since 9th grade (10 years), and in November he totaled his car (Miata) and was in the hospital for 2 weeks...so the last few months have been stressful. I work as an Admin for 2 men who are financial advisors. I am looking forward to retiring in 3 years. I have always been an advid runner but had to have my ankle fused 5 years ago so walking and a laughable jog is my exercise. Up until the operation I weight 135 and am anxious to be thin again. I have found Atkins to be very easy and I am never hungry. Last week I lost 5 lbs in ONE week so I am looking forward to this week.
