My weight has yo-yo'd throughout my life; from being underweight and very active (marathons and triathlons) and needing to maintain weight, to being significantly obese. I have had a range of health conditions and the tend to put on a lot of weight when I am out of hospital.

Right now, I am living in Italy - land of pasta and pizza - and hope to return to a moderate size in three months, by October 2013. I have a bike which I love riding on the undulating hills around Umbria, and look forward to running, which should be easier as I start to lose weight.

I need lots of motivation and support!
