Proud Papa of 3 kiddos... Mad Man of a flowershop in Middle TN.

Divorce, death of my beloved mom and grandmother...then becoming the full time single parent of my 3 kids have made the stress eating outta control. My 30's should have been fabulous years...they weren't... a toxic marriage made sure of that. I've medicated with food most of my life..and now is the time to change that. I am determined my 40's will be entirely different. So I am on this journey to get to a healthy weight.. working on me.

STARTING April 1, 2010 @ 345, size 4/5 XLT , 44/46W and difficulty walking

Goal #1 is 300.
***Accomplished that goal approx.06/24/10. Hee hee hee...and how sweet it is!
(Definately in a 3X and ankles give me little issue now.)

Goal of 280....that will put me at half my ultimate 120 lbs loss goal.
***reached 9-15-10

Goal #3... 255... the weight I was at 22 when I married.
***reached 01-09-11

Goal #4...242...One hundred pounds..."released"
***REACHED 04.03.11 Just. one. year.... wowowowowow!

Goal #4.5 ...239.. moves me from Obese BMI to Overweight BMI (hee hee)

Goal #5... I am OFF of my blood pressure meds per doctor!!! woo hoo!
***Reached June 23, 2011

Goal #6...230 10 lbs to my original goal of 220 O.M.Gosh!!!
***Reached August 21, 2011

Goal #7 ... 225 5 lbs to original goal of 220
***Reached September 25, 2011 wow.... humbled..

Goal #8 ... 220 Original Goal when beginning this journey

How do you handle BBQ's, etc.
If you like hickory sauce... easy and Atkins friendly... Heinz Reduced Sugar Ketchup and add Liquid smoke to taste preference. A dead ringer for Sonic's BBQ sauce.
And don't hesitate to bring a bag of pork rinds.. if you must have the crunch.. dip it in French onion dip... it is fine.. besides.. this is one meal. Water, Water Water..and then some more water. Avoid the alcohol for now.. since you are on induction

Yes...first two week avoid...longer if you can... and absolutely avoid any sweetners or fruit juices... for example... a dirty martini is lower in carbs than a cosmo.

Constipation issues
I agree with the above post... Water is VITAL as well as the green veggies...and I have had almost no issue at all in 14 months...

MEAT..EGGS..CHEESE
Where is the frickin' "LIKE" button when you need one. Many of the peeps who ask me how I've lost the weight automatically respond with "ohhhh, the bacon diet". Im like .. well I can have bacon and probably do 3 times A MONTH. I also go thru 4-5 lbs of greens a week...and when I say GO thru... .I really mean it!
