I'm soon to be 55 and have never had a weight issue until recently. I put on 40 lbs. after I was operated on for breast cancer 9 yrs ago. I was on a clinical drug study for 3.5 yrs and my metabolism changed, but my eating habits didn't. I had weighted 96 lbs and never had to diet in my life or worry about my portion size or what I was eating. Now things are different.
I have 3 dogs, so you would think that I would get tons of exercise taking them for walks. Wrong! I installed an invisible fence, now none of them will go near the boundary even with a leash on. Taking them on an evening walk was something that I used to love doing. My dogs go nuts when I workout with the WII, so that isn't easy.
Gosh, it sounds like I am making a ton of excuses as to why I'm not exercising. I really want to continue being healthy, so I must eat right and exercise. No excuses.
It would be great to have a buddy that would hold me accountable and me to them to keep us on track for exercise and good eating habits.
