All my life I was too skinny. I am from Holland, the country with the tallest people in the world. The ideal of the perfect woman is much fuller than the California model. In high school I was called the "skeleton" being 173 kg or 5'8" and 50 kg or 115 -120 lbs. No matter what I did I could not gain weight. I was just not hungry and ate good brown bread (maybe 1 or two slices topped with cheese, chocolate sprinkles, jam, or prociutto etc.for breakfast and lunch.
At age 24 I came to the US and was suddenly "perfect"! Then I had my last of 3 kids at age 39 and suddenly I could not shed the weight anymore. I used to turn heads or get whistled at on the street. Now nobody looks at me anymore. I'm just an average mother that is overweight. Though still skinny at Hometown Buffet, I want to be at least 140 lbs and fit into a size 8.
