I followed WW for about 8 months 2 years ago and managed to lose 3 stone, unfortunately I've managed to put 2 of them back on, and I really need to lose about 5, so i was only half way there when i got fed-up the last time. I'm hoping having an online group and somewhere I can enter my weightloss on line might inspire me to 'Keep the Faith'

how many POINTS can I have?
Don't know if the WW in the UK is different & I haven't attended for a few years so it may have changed, but according to the lit. I have 15-17stone - 24pts, 13-15stone 22 points, 11-13 stone - 20pts, 9-11 stone - 18pts. It's on average 4 points more than this for guys. I have never heard of the 35 points extra to spread over the week - you can however carry over points from one day to the next, or save them up for the weekend. Very Happy

Core program
Depends on your current weight, and sex. Men get more than women of the same size.
I think a female weighing between 12-14 stone gets 22 points a day, 10-12 stone 20 pts, under 10 stone 18 pts. Someone may clarify (I may be 2 points over?? - not sure). You are allowed to carry points forward - for a party at the weekend, or a meal out etc, but you are encouraged to try and eat all your points for the week - otherwise once you drop the weight, and go onto the reduced points allowance, how would your body know that it's cutting out more?

weigh in
I've always been told it's important to weight yourself once a week - preferrably at the same time and wearing roughtly the same clothes as your weight varies day to day depending on the weight of food you eat (not just the calories or the fat content) and the amount of fluid you are carrying. Example - most people are about 2lbs lighter first thing in the morning.
