I am a soon to be 40 stay at home mom for the last 10 years and getting ready to get back out into the world. :) I started to get my nursing degree back 12 years ago and then babies happened and I have put it off until now. I start back in January '13 and couldn't be more excited.
I am married to a wonderful man who has accepted me in all my sizes for the last 17 years. Love him so much! I am a mom to 2 awesome girls who are 10 and 13. Such a proud Momma! :)
I have been overweight my entire life. Lost 100 lbs and got down to my lowest of 214 between my two children. Did it the not so healthy way using Metabolife. Gained 70 lbs during my second pregnancy and continued gaining and losing for the next 10 years until I reached my highest weight of 366. Began low carbing in April of '12 and am determined to continue low carbing the rest of my life. My youngest daughter began to have a weight problem and lost 26 lbs cutting out unnecessary carbs like bread, pasta, and sugar. This has become our way of life and I am so excited about the upcoming years I have left with my family. I have been a spectator for the last 13 years of my children's life and have wasted too many years.
My gift to myself for my 40th birthday May 31, '13 is a trip to Disney World. I have never been nor have my children and I plan to live it up riding all the rides as if I were their age! The only way I can get that gift is if I lose enough weight to comfortably ride the airplane and comfortably ride the rides. That is my future goal. My present goal is just to get below my husband's weight! That guy can lose weight like the best of them...so frustrating! lol We are only 7 lbs apart at this time. He is 6'8 and I am 5'10 so he should weigh way more than me...but unfortunately, I am the heavyweight of the bunch thus far. Not for long!! I shall catch him and surpass him!! lol
