I am a 39 year old woman who is newly and happily married (no children yet). I have struggled with a 10-20 pound weight gain for the past 10 years. I thought I concquered it two years ago when I made Lifetime on Weight Watchers. It took me one year to lose the weight and make goal and two to gain it all back. I am on the verge of turning 40 and am making every effort to get into the best physical shape I can be in before then.

Running
For years, I have run on and off. And I agree with the person who said something like "you love it when you're good at it and hate it when you aren't". Typically I don't enjoy running, but it's something I do to challenge myself. I prefer running on a treadmill because I can pace myself better. My advice to you would be for you to give it all you have and put in a great effort, but if you aren't loving it the way you thought you would, move on to something else. You really should enjoy your exercise! Best of luck.

Power 90
I'm in the midst of this 90 day program and am wondering if there's anyone else currently doing it. I'd love to hear what you think of it so far.

P90x
I am actually 30+ days into Power 90, which is the predecessor to P90X. There are two types of workouts and they vary every other day. Sculpt and Sweat. You start with Phase 1-2 and move onto Phase 3-4 when ready. So far I notice a decent change in my muscle tone. I have been following the diet, so to say, but haven't really lost anything yet. Not sure if it's because of my metabolism or what. I'm committed to finishing out the 90 days program though, and at this point have nothing but good things to say about it. After reasearching P90x and comparing the two, I thought Power 90 was a better fit for me at the moment. The exercise sessions start out at about 30 minutes and increase another 10-15. Good luck!
