Believe it or not
I've found that the calories burned during the activities on this site are very accurate when comparing it to weight lost.

Precis, those figures would vary a good bit depending one someones weight, age, gender, etc.

Food labeling won't ever be accurate.
I don't want to learn things that are largely irrelevant to just being healthy and being in shape. I don't need to obsess over the hundreds of little things that will only make the journey more and more annoying. It's hard enough to stay on track. I get regular check ups and feel amazing. I don't want to major in the minors.

Just wondering, have you reached your goal following all this advice? Where is your profile pic?

Nutrisystem alternative ... whole foods approach

I've never understood how programs like Nutrisystem and Weight Watchers (among others) stay in business, everything you need to do exactly what you suggest, build your own meals (novel concept, yeah?) is available at substantially better prices in your local grocery store. Nutrisystem, more like LazyAndExpensiveSystem.

Simple, people need training wheels. They were never taught about CICO as a child, so as adults they know nothing, they have to rely on restrictive diets to keep them from overeating. I mean, that is all elimination diets are, plans to moderate calorie intake.
