has anyone ever struggled with this?
I had the same problem and turned to Miralax. You buy the small bottle and put a capfull into your beverage, for me it was unsweentened iced tea (with a little Splenda). There is no taste to Miralax and it doesn't cause any accidents. It works within a day and just makes things flow much easier. It will help you right away.

South Beach Diet Percentages
What are the percentages supposed to be for carbs, fat, and protein in the South Beach Diet? I have seen many different answers. I know Atkins has exact percentages but but South Beach has me confused. Thanks.

"Poop-less in Seattle"
Miralax worked wonders for me. I have issues due to thyroid on top of the diet issues causing this. I have tried many things and this is what worked for me, and I was surprised how quick. I took it one night in my iced tea at dinner, mixed a capful in. No taste to it althought I could see what looked like undisolved sugar floating in it. I think it was the next night that I found relief. I used the 7 day bottle and just finished it one night ago. We'll see if the effects linger on or if I need to keep buying it to continue regularly. It's worth trying because it really does work without causing any dire accidents and things like that.

Thyroid
I had the same problem and started taking Selenium which helps convert T4 into T3. It seemed to help me after taking it for a couple weeks. It won't be a dramatic change but it will make you feel like you have more energy than before. Try to stay away from soy. I started taking it every day without realizing that it slows your metabolism by effecting your thyroid. I believe this is what took me from hyperthyroidism for 20 years, to hypothyroidsm after taking it for about a year or so.
I have no thyroid now (thyroidectomy) and can only rely on my meds to provide my T3. This is difficult but at least I'm at the point where I'm not fighting sleep at 2pm every day.
