Feeling good today. When I'm at work, the time flies, and I don't get the munchies so much. When I did this afternoon, a few spoonfuls of natural peanut butter did the trick. The problem is getting in the exercise. I can't pull myself out of bed at 6 a.m. to go to the gym, and the evenings are out. But, the days are getting longer, and it's supposed to be warmer this weekend, so I may be able to get out for a run outside (I so hate the treadmill!). In the meantime, I'll focus on my eating.

Skimmed an interesting article on "Best Diets of 2014" http://health.usnews.com/best-diet. There are so many to choose from. I like the South Beach Diet because I don't have to remember much, other than to limit my carbs particularly in the early phases, but it didn't rank that highly. Not sure that I have the discipline or willpower to count points (for WW) or even calories. I'm trying to record my food intake, but it takes so long, and I forget. Perhaps it will get easier after I record it for several days because being a creature of habit, I don't each such a varying diet. Perhaps....

Kind of frustrated. I feel like I've been exercising a lot and watching my diet, and the scale is not showing it. It makes me nervous as I don't really know what else I can do, with moderation, if this doesn't work. Well, time to drink another glass of water and hope that the results start to show.

As expected, the weight went down, but it was mostly water loss. I drank so much water yesterday to try and get rid of the water retention. Time to keep it up. I did cheat with a couple of glasses of white wine. It's hard to resist it, especially at the end of a long day.

Time to get serious. I know that there is a lot of water retention, so I expect to drop a couple of pounds relatively easily, but it's not going to be easy to drop the rest. I'm starting Phase I of the SBD today.
