Time to reboot. I'd like to break 150 by my birthday, which is just over one month from today. I can do it if I up the exercise and decrease the calories, particularly from that pesky glass (or two, or three) of wine each evening.

Just recorded a weigh in and happy to be down a pound. Then, Fatsecret tells me at this rate, it'll take me nine months to reach my goal, which is another ten pounds. Bit of a downer but also a reality check to step up my game. Thank goodness for nicer weather and the promise of exercising outdoors.

Weekends are tough for me. At work, I can limit my snacking, and we're busy in the evenings, so I can limit the vino. But weekends, it's hard not to kick back. And then it all begins on Monday again. This cold weather and snow is getting to be a pain, but at least I can get out for some XC skiing. I keep reminding myself that it's not a fad or a quick fix but an overall and longtime commitment to healthy living. At least we have less junk food in the house! :)

Down a pound, not much but in the right direction. Heading off to a few days vacation with the family at a resort/hotel with huge breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffets. Fortunately, there's also a gym, pool, and lots of opportunities to XC ski and snowshoe, so hopefully it won't be terrible on my diet as long as I am active and watch my food choices. Honestly, for me, it's not so much a diet as an effort to be more conscious of the food I eat and make sure that I'm not wasting calories on high fat, high processed, non-nutritional, mindless food choices.
