I have always loved food, and have been overweight for for a significant portion of my life. Occasionally I would go on a diet and lose weight, but then it would all go back.
Last year I got into the Obese category and decided that it was too much - I lost 55 lb in 7 months and got back into the normal BMI bracket. But then I got obsessed with cooking :-), and baking, even better.. So now I need to loose 15 lb that this obsession cost me. Look forward to exchanging recipes and ideas on weight loss.
I post some of my recipes, with calculated calories per serving on my blog:

It pays off to chart your food
I absolutely agree that you need to count your calories - it's so easy to overestimate what you burn and underestimate what you eat. I lost 55 lb in 7 months last year by recording everything I did. And I did not do any exercises at all for the first 5-6 months. For some people it's different I suppose, they are able to loose weight by working out, but I am not that lucky. I guess everyone should just know his own body and build a personal weight loss program.
Looks like you're on the right track! Good luck Smile
