After assessing my eating habits a few years ago I realized I was not on a good path to being healthy and taking care of myself. I dropped quite a bit of weight and am continuing my re-education on how to eat better, exercise more and make better choices. It's purely for my own benefit so I can enjoy my life fully, who doesn't want that?

Need to lose 20 pounds.
Find out what your body needs now for maintenance and adjust the calorie percentages for a comfortable eating range that works according to what you want. There are many online calculators that can help with that if you don't see a Dr or trainer usually for it. Tmc64 had good ideas and advice.

Most people automatically cut carbs or certain food groups without realizing what their body needs. I used to limit carbs when I needed to eat 6x as much to build muscle-- it's a learning curve

How to Lower Fat & Carbs.
I track everything at the moment with underarmour'ss fitness pal app, its great so far Smile The important part is to eat what you need to keep healthy and not overeating and having say, donut carbs vs whole grain brown rice carbs. Variety is good, but quality makes a big difference
