Good morning.
Though it is another rainy day in MN, I am struck by how green everything is. Wow. Vibrant green. Now, if the sun comes out - two of my most favoite colors competing for the sky around me. Blue and green. Can't wait.
Though the last few weeks have been extremely stressful, I am feeling pretty good about my eating habits. I didn't gain any weight - in the past I would have packed on the pounds. I continue to lose and am thankful for it.
We had a huge annual meeting yesterday at the company where I am employed. I was asked to make the floral arrangements. Something they all know I LOVE to do. What fun! The therapy this task provided is unmeasurable. I also was asked to get door prizes. Yay! Retail therapy on someone else's dollar. The flowers on their dollar too. The only perimeters I had were that the flowers be all white and elegant. Oh yeah...I can to that! White roses, spider mums, delphineum, lilies, hydrangeas, baby's breath, accented with Lady's mantle and teeny lime green poms. Gorgeous. I completed the arrangements with black "tuxdeo" bow ties. I must say...they were nice! 14 arrangements in all. A huge undertaking and very successful. At the end of the event four large bouquets went to award winners, five to members of the event committee, and the rest to admirers. A very satisfying project.
Today is is back to the normal grind. Which in the scope of the events of the world is a blessed 'grind'. I work from home two days a week. Today is one of them. No pressure. Just get the work done. Nice.
We continue to search for sweet Mandy - my neighbor girl who has been missing since May 1st. Her boyfriend committed suicide when called in for questioning of her disappearance. She was last seen with him...and has not been seen since. Now he is dead and left no clues as to her whereabouts. So we continue to do all we can to bring her home. Please keep Mandy's family in your prayers. Life is true HELL in their home. Three vibrant and beautiful women in Mpls, missing - at the hands of the men who loved them. We have found two of the three women in the past week. We look forward to finding Mandy soon.

I've been away awhile. Many things happening right now. My neighbor girl was murdered by her boyfriend on May 1st. Then he killed himself on May 2nd. We still haven't found Mandy and continue to search. Living a normal life is extremely difficult right now.
I started Medifast a few weeks ago. I can honestly say that I am OK with the food and am never hungry. I am doing well and hope to continue until I can get on maintenance.

OMG!!! I was totally out of control yesterday. I stayed on track until evening and I went rogue. Good grief. I decided to record everything that I ate instead of just dismissing it. I ate more the twice my RDI!!! So, today I am being very aware of how hungry I am and eating something healthy as soon as I notice it. I have to get control of my overeating. Yesterday was an extremely intense day at work as I had to do indepth review of several contractual agreements. Including the financial addendums. I am NOT a numbers person. Put me in a flower shop or a craft store and I think I am in heaven. Give me a budget and yes, I can do it and handle it well....but do I prefer it? Absolutely not. I can tell it stresses me because my cheeks get bright red. Telltale sign. Remind me never to play poker for a living. Give me some pine cones, macaroni and belly-button lint and I'll make you a chandelier. Make healthy choices today...I will too.
