Good morning to you! It's brutally cold here. We remain indoors as much as possible. The good part is that when it is so cold, the skies are brilliantly blue. Looks good from inside the house. My little wiener dogs dash outside, hurry up with their business and come in to pile onto one bed in front of the fireplace. Poor little things. I've made them all fleece jackets. They find them more distracting than useful.

I am in a better frame of mind this morning. Yesterday was not good. When I woke, I felt ache-y, puffy and just plain yucky. Even crabby. Which is unusual for me. Sometimes I wonder if all the grief from recent past events comes out in physical ways. I slept well last night and am on track with my healthy eating so far. It's only been two hours so far today but sometimes I can't even make it this far. So I am taking this as a win and will continue to go hour by hour until I have one successful day under my belt. (pardon the pun).

I was productive yesterday in spite of not being on top of my game. I had my friend D here. He is very tall, has long arms and is strong. I utilized his assets cleaning my cupboards! :) My kitchen and pantry are all in order. Yay! I truly believe that as things return to an orderly state around here will I.

Today I am working from home, grant writing. I love these days. I will get my laundry caught up while I work. Definitely a plus.

My bright spot on the horizon is a trip to Culebra (an island off Puerto Rico) to share in my niece's wedding day. My daughter and I leave on April 30th. Plenty of time to get my body in shape and to look for the perfect beach dress for the occasion. I am going to start now so that I will keep it foremost in my mind as I march forward on this healthy weight journey.

Good morning. Another day of MN cold. I am not really stressing about my weight and have decided to give myself a break, eat HEALTHY and then when I have my wits about me, once again focus on weight loss. Just for today I plan to keep busy with odd jobs. Things that I have put off for so very long. I bought some pants that I was going to wear to my sister's funeral on Dec. 4th. They are still sitting waiting to be hemmed. Procrastination at it height. My house needs a good cleaning, my check book needs to be balanced, etc. etc. I find that when one aspect of life goes awry, it all does. So today I am going to put my house in order, hem pants and then see what the day brings. Just having a plan makes me feel so much better. Thank you to all who have checked in with me. Specifically sarahsmum. I truly appreciate the connection. Stay healthy and enjoy the day.
