Howdy,
NOTE: none of this is written for any type of sympathy. Just want to say why I am here...
The last two years have been horrible. In January of 2010 my wife was diagnosed with Stage 4 brain cancer while she was full term with our son. From diagnosis to passing was 2 weeks and 6 days. She got to be with our son for 2 weeks. She also left behind our then 2 year old daughter.
Needless to say I pretty much checked out for a while, and physically you can tell. I "used" to be in shape. I lifted, ran, etc. Instead I started eating a lot, and havent seen a gym in two years.
It's time to live again; I've been existing only. I'm young. I have two wonderful kids who need me. And besides... my wife would kick my @$$ right now if she could see me ;)
So I've thrown myself full throttle at it with a complete program: Cardio, weights, diet, core, flexibility. All the stuff I used to do back in the day. It will be interesting to see if run down 38 me can hand with the workout of 28 year old in shape me, but already feeling better :)
Promise... anything I write from here on out will be silly and/or positive :). I just tend to be a pretty open dude!
