Just joined "The Challenge" in Albuquerque. The challenge is based on the "body for life principles and it is 90 days in duration. Hoping to become more disciplined in eatings habits, as that is my downfall. I am not at all a stranger to exercise as I am a runner, problem is that I take great liberties in rewarding myself after a run! I tend to think that I can eat whatever I want without consequence! Wrong!!! As a result, I have gained 15 lbs that I didn't have a year ago! I am on a "feeding schedule" now which consists of 5 meals per day, low fat, 1300 calories, low carb and high protein.(2 meals are protein shakes) I am adding weight training to my exercise routine as well as adding different types of cardio to change it up quite a bit!
I would hope that at the end of 12 weeks (Mid April) I will have lost some of the lbs or at best, gain more muscle, definition and lose fat. More importantly, after the Challenge I hope that I can continue on the right path of eating the right things!
