I am a 64 year old obese and disabled women. I have metabolic syndrome and lupus. Two fake knees inhibit most exercise. Walking is difficult. After a year and a half on keto, I got really Ill and stopped. I don't think keto was the cause, just my weight. A year later, I am better and I am back. All the drugs I take cause weight gain so I am back 25 lbs. Bigger! I must lose A lot of weight! I will lose a lot of weight!

I am BACK!
I was doing keto for a year and a half and felt really good. I didn't lose weight though. I developed a heart condition and lost a kidney so I got off the plan for a year. I am BACK to do it right this time. This is day one!Smile

Sleeping on Keto
Can't sleep anymore. I sleep 1 or 2 hours than I'm wired for the rest of the night. I've been reading and it is suggested that I eat my carbs at my night meal. Also a spoonful of raw honey at bedtime. I tried both the last 2 days and finally got 7 hours last night. I still woke up alot, but was able to go back to sleep. Any other suggestions people? I need to sleep straight through for more than an hour at a time.

This is finally working.
Test are back, A1C is 6.1 down from 7.2. Combined cholesterolLaughing is 155, down from 258. This is since March of this year. I haven't lost much weight but these numbers can't be argued with. Keto is working for me.

Oh, the scale moves downward so slow!
Thanks for the pep talk. I have gone down one size in 5 months. I'm not getting the unbelievable weight loss promised by keto, but it's a lose no less.
