When I turned 40 I decided that I was going to to do better. I played football and worked out from the age of 14. The last 6 years I moved to Tulsa Oklahoma from NYC and 10 years in Orlando Florida being a Chef at Disney World. I guess I was depressed and I gained some weight. In April 2011 I reached 297 the heaviest I have ever been. I came to Tulsa weighing 250 and I was fine. I weighed 230 in college when I played football and as time goes on you gain more muscle and weight. The extra 47 pounds is all fat and I want to get rid of it.

I would look like a crackhead if I went down to 185. I am 6'1 and have been a big guy for all of my life. Today as I write this I an 277lbs and I am trying to reach my goal of 250. I am a single father with a 16 year old daughter who keeps me busy and on the go.

What are some of your embarassing/emotional/eye opening reasons for loosing weight?
The moment I made the change was when I was working with a friend in a doctors office and they had new scaled there. We both jumped on and I was at 300lbs.I had felt heart problems in the past and was starting to breathe heavy when I walked my building at work. That didn't get me to change, The scale did.It has been 2 years now and I have taken away the fat and added muscle and I am happier for it.

What are some of your embarassing/emotional/eye opening reasons for loosing weight?
I played football from high school until I was 24. I lifted weights from the age of 14 through 36. I stopped for a few years and I gained 50 pounds. I kept on getting bigger clothes and didn't care about the weight. I didn't eat a lot of food I just aye a lot of sweets late at night instead of drinking and partying. Also I moved from Orlando Florida to Tulsa Oklahoma. I felt that even though I gained weight I am still looking better that all of these over weight people. I was trying to step backwards in a parking lot and I fell. My legs swelled and so did my feet. I went to the doctor and my blood pressure was out of control. That never happened to me and I still didn't want to change.

I was at work and a friend of mine said lets weight ourselves and I said "OK". He weight 247 and I weight 298. I was 2 pounds from "300". I was mortified and I started back to the gym 2 days later with my friend. He is down to 220 and I am down to 270. I won't slack off ever again. I have a ways to go to get my football body back, but at least I'm on the road.

Exercise high
Keep it up I work out 6 days a week and twice a day 2 times a week. I do weight lifting and cardio and my works gym and I do heavy lifting and cross training at the gym I joined. I feel great after a workout and I feel great the next day. The endorphin's make me feel wonderful and seeing the progress also keeps me going. Good Luck
