does anybody out there know any good protein shakes?
I used to use a fair amount of protein powders until I watched the documentary "Hungry for Change" that shows how msg (an appetite stimulant) can be labeled under 40+ different names, and is typically found in protein powders under names like soy protein isolate, whey protein and yeast extract etc.... Since then I've been interested in getting my protein from whole food sources like eggs (6g), nuts, and chicken (30g per breast). It's less expensive than protein powders, and then I don't crave the junk so much. Check out the documentary for more info, or just google MSG Alternative Names.

its not a diet its healthy living
I'm and on the 5:2 diet, where I eat as I usually do 5 days a week and then reduce my calories to 500 on 2 days per week (typically Wednesdays and Saturdays). This is called the Fast Diet because one if essentially fast 2 days per week. I like it because I don't feel that I am constantly having to think about what I eat, and there is scientific evidence that this type of eating reduces the risk of heart disease, diabetes (although Not recommended for diabetics as I understand it) and some types of cancer. You can read an interview about the diet at: thedianerehmshow.org/shows/2013-03-13/dr-michael-mosley-fast-diet/transcript or get the book "The Fast Diet" by Michael Mosley.

Best, Bani
