I am 55, married, 2 grownj kids, 7 grandchildren.
I am not healthy, have osteo arthritis, degnerative spine and fibro along with many other problems. when you count them all up, I have 22 doctors..that is way too many.
I have lost 100 pounds on South Beach prior to my cancer.
Now I have gained back over 50.
I am determined to loser it once again, even though I cannot exercise as I use to.

How Often Do you weigh yourself?
Usually twice a week. But I only log what I have lost (or gained, ugh) from one Monday to the next.

Tips for resisting hibernation?
meet a friend at the mall before the stores open and do at least 4 laps. In an average mall, that would be about a mile. Every little bit helps. Some malls have walking programs.

What Diet should we use?
South Beach is both low fat and low carb. If you don't do phase 1 and go straight to phase 2, it would be very healthy.

Sugar Buster's Question
I lost over 100 pounds on South Beach several years ago as I took it on as a way of life. then I had cancer and have had many health issues that have forced me to not be as active and feeling crummy I didnt watch what I was eating.
Most recently I have been on a total sugar binge. I don''t have a sweet tooth, I have a set of sweet teeth.

So, with my ADDICTION to sugar at this time...I'm thinking this might be the way to go. I don't have the book and wonder if I need the book in order to follow the diet.Confused

Any responses will be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Bren~
