500 calorie or less diet experiment
I have found that my metabolism is screwy anyway. I can only take in about 1100 calories a day without gaining weight. I am under a doctors supervision, and am regularly checking to make sure I am not passing ketones in my urine (a sign my body is in starvation mode - reflects protein being broken down). I am also taking lots of vitamins to make up for what I am not getting in my foods.

I agree with everyone here, do not go on a 500, or even an 1100 calorie diet without being under a doctors supervision. You can go into cardiac arrest if something goes wrong. Your electrolytes can get thrown way off if you are not taking in enough....and if thrown off enough, it will stop your heart.
