I actually started this stint of my weight loss/let's get healthy again back at the end of October 2009 and weighed 215. I am 5' 10" tall.
A little history .... I weighed 130 lbs when I got married 26 years ago, even after several years and 2 kids, I still weighed that, then I hit 30 years old, my thyroid function went south, my metabolism totally changed, followed by 3 miscarriages then 2 more babies back to back (17 mths apart) in the next 4 years! ... and found myself at an all time high of 190 lbs
Tax day 2000 I gave myself 18 mths to lose the weight and get back down to 140 lbs. I went on low carb diet, since I seem to metabolism carboyhydrates badly (was diabetic when pregnant eacvh time too) ... in one year I lost 50 lbs :)
Was a happy camper for about 4 years, then it slowly started creeping back on until I reached a NEW all time high of 215 in Oct 2009
I didn't join fatsecret (got a MyTouch Slide and the app on it) until this June ... so although it looks like I have not lost any weight, I am already down by 27 pounds.
Ny goal is less aggressive now, I think at 160 lbs for my height I will be happy again.
