Couch to 5K
C25K is a training program designed to get you running 3.2 miles in eight or nine weeks. It literally is designed for people who are not currently exercising. It is an excellent way to build stamina and get into great cardio shape. I did my first race last October after using the C25K. By the way.....I had never run more than one consecutive mile in my life! The best advice I can give is:
1. Before you begin, sign up for a race three months away and pay for the registration. You will need the accountability when the going gets tough.
2. Stick to the program exactly. Do not skip ahead and do not skip training runs.
3. Get a stopwatch to get exact times.
