I'm going camping for a week - so no weigh-ins. I'm packing my bars and intend to stay on my diet.

It's hard to look at how much I have to lose and how long it will take - if everything went incredibly smoothly. I know the time will pass anyway :-) I worry about what my metabolism will be like when I'm done. If I can get really into the habit of exercising - and I have done 4 weeks of weight-lifting and it is fun and I see progress - then that will help regardless.

A strong motivator now is that my asthma is being an issue. This could be weight-related; when I was just 15 pounds lighter, it was much better. It could be related to the air quality and heat as well. Regardless, I need better cardio health.

On the bright side, when I went to the theater yesterday, the seat was comfortable. I recall it being a bit cramped and uncomfortable when I went in mid-June.

I am just delighted with how quickly I'm dropping weight with this diet.
Of course, I know I'll gain back a couple pounds with my free day - and those
are important to keep my body from starvation - but this is basically 10 pounds lost in less than 2 weeks.

Not all the bars are particularly tasty, but they are decent enough that I can deal. I'm also doing bars for convenience - so if I end up having some turkey kielbasa or turkey with a bit of crackers, that is just fine. I'm having around 1300-1400 calories a day. I have about 1/2 cup of milk in my large cup of coffee once a day. I have vegetables when I want them.

It's somewhat depressing to think that even if I lose 10 pounds every 2 weeks (and I have no expectation that loss rate will continue), then it'd take me 30 weeks or so to lose all this weight.
