Just got my new lab results today. In November 2012, diagnosed with T2, A1C was 6.4. No meds, but advised on ADA diet. I knew that diet had way too many carbs and that was what got me to this point and lack of control eating all those carbs.

I immediately went on Arkins Induction and began to see lower BG readings. Well, 3 months later and modifying my diet toward the Nutritional Ketogenic diet (very low carb, high fat), my A1C is now 5.0! I am very pleased but know that I must continue with this WOE for the rest of my life. I have also lost 32 lbs since november 11/11/12, but I still have weight to lose.

I am thrilled that I am able to lower my BG levels to normal and can postpone medication and the associated progression of this disease for as long as possible.
