Hey. I'm Cristina and I'm a travel writer. Since 2005 I've been working from home, first doing various freelance jobs , now as a full time travel writer.
Let me tell ya... the busier my schedule the less time to work out. Needless to say I am stuck right now and try to find ways to take advantage of my stair stepper (the 3rd one LOL).

When i worked part time , also from home, I used to spend 2 h per day working out. But that has changed once I was offered a full time job. Add some family drama and life managed to shoot me back to place i don't like. That is about 154 lbs / give or take 1 lb.

Ideally I'd want to get back to 132 lbs. I'm just 5'2" so that's not too low.

Any hints to work out more from home? Thanks.

PS: awesome to find the group!

Hey Cristina - Welcome.
Sounds like you and I are same build and although I don't mind being vertically challanged I hate how my tall friends can gain 10 lbs and it doesn't show where as if I gain 10 lbs I am in a different size.
I can't speak for anyone else but what I have been doing is working out about a half hour after I wake up in the morning for 30 minutes. It gives me a "high" throughout the day and I tend not to be dragging too much.
Also I have started doing my hair, putting on make up and "real" clothes - no more sweats before I work. I think wearing sweats all day gave me the right to eat like a pig and I wasn't gaining any weight because my sweats fit LOL.
I love the FatSecret site it is a wealth of information and support!
Hope to hear more from you and have a great weekend!!

thanks. we are on a very short way to being snowed in! it's been snowing for 4 hrs already and won't stop soon.

Oh I wear a pair of old jeans at home and I dress right after i get out of bed and stumble to get my coffee - which comes from hubby right on my desk LOL

I've worn off 2 stair stepper so far. So I try not to do the same very soon with this borrowed one that I got. I so stick to 5-10 min bursts of exercise when I am too tired after working for some hours.

When I worked part-time, although still from home, it was much easier to take the time to follow DVDs or go and play tennis. I talked to my husband and he agreed we should play tennis again. YAY! Smile

Thanks for adding me!

Hey Cristina welcome to the group. When I used to work in the office it was easier for me to get up and work out before work. However, my work day actually starts at 5am so honestly I find it hard to get up any earlier than necessary when I am not asleep until 10pm or after every night.

One thing that I was doing...need to start doing again....is I had saved a couple of 5 and 10 minute videos on my pinterest site. When I had a lull I would take a 5 or 10 minute break and do a video.

Then after work I would go downstairs to the elliptical machine (which will now be the stationary bike). We have a thread in here called Daily Check In and a few of us try to touch base daily just for some accountability and some friendship Smile
