I have heard that medication messes with your weight. I don't think adding fruit and veggies is the solution. I agree that removing all the junk food is a first step.

When you wake at night try drinking water (or flavored water) instead of eating. If you must eat, try adding raw veggies then. It isn't the best but fiber makes you feel full.

Steroids tend to make you want to eat, and I think Citalapram will as well. Try increasing your water intake to 80 ounces daily. If you have munchies, at least for me, drinking the water tends to help curb my need to munch/snack. I'm currently taking a nutrition class in school and one of the sites I found that makes things really easy for me is . I can't do "diets" so to speak, I really suck at denying myself the things I love and want to eat. So, I do the bad things in moderation most times. I keep no junk food inside my house. Which means, if I decide I want a soda, I have to go to the store and buy it. Most times, I'm not willing to leave my house once I get home from work or school, and I rarely stop on my way to or from work or school. Some junk food I keep outside in the freezer/fridge in the garage. But as long as it's out of sight, it's usually out of mind for me.

I have started to change coffee for warm water with lemon, lime, a slice of ginger. I don't think the combination matters - but I find that it curbs my hunger pangs.

I am the same. If junk food is in the house then I eat it.
