Hi! I'm Andrea and I'm a swimmer. I swim 2-3 times a week in a 25 yard pool. Last week, I swam my first mile in 48 minutes. Totally proud of myself. This summer I plan on getting my 41 year old self certified as a life guard again. I was a life guard as a teen. Only doing it to prove to myself that I can. I really don't have any plans on actually doing pool duty. But I would like to become a water safety instructor again and maybe teach swimming.

Hello; I made it to the pool three times this week, and hope to go again tomorrow. Unfortunately, I can't count and swim and / or talk at the same time, but I can read the clock, and I kept moving 75 min today, either laps, treading water or flexing the water weights (good bye flabby arms aerobic exercise). Where I swim (indoors) the pool is 83 degrees. So you have to keep moving so as to not get a chill. This is my favorite mode of exercise, although I do walk the dogs daily for 1+ mile.
